A year ago

A year ago today the man of my dreams got down on one knee and asked me to become his wife for time and all eternity!

I had to share these pictures. John came home from a fishing trip carrying these ugly little creatures. The buyer would not buy them because they were "dead." Oh but were they wrong..they were alive! John is ripping the lobster in half and they are squealing and juices are going everywhere..disgusting! After they were ripped into two they sat there still MOVING there claws...so gross. I still love my fisherman, but not when he brings his work home with him!!!

In the mean time I have been in two weddings in the past month and I have one more to go next week. I am wedding poor now. My best friend Bethany got married in Salt Lake and I was able to fly up there and share that special day with her. Two weeks later, our good friends Sarah and Greg were married in Arizona. Weddings are so much better when you know both the bride and the groom and everyone at the wedding are your really good friends. So that was a blast seeing everyone. Here are some pictures:

John and I have both been working our butts off. He finally got three days off and I was so spoiled! Any time I get to spend with him is amazing. He is the love of my life and I love having him home with me. He took me out on a date which we have not done in forever! We went to the beach, on bike rides, cuddling time, and even drove up to my parents to cook them dinner. We were on a roll. Now he is working and I am lonely again. I started a new job position which is very exciting!! I work full time at two different Elementary Schools one and one who two autistic children. Today was my first real day and with it being Halloween it was a little bit crazy. I came home and took a nap and had a dream that I was chasing one of the little boys..lol oh goodness.. haha. I cant wait to see John tomorrow :) Here are a few pictures from our date..not very cute but the only pictures we have had that are recent.

Someone once told me "If you want to be lonely for the rest of your life than get married." This is sad but true. I never see my husband :( If he is not working, he is working on his car, if he is not doing that he is sleeping. I am just being selfish and want him all to myself. lol. I am so proud of John though, they went on a fishing trip and look at what he caught:

This is beautiful Carpinteria..where I live. Isn't it just beautiful? I really wish I got to go to the beach more. It is funny I was telling John how I have always wanted to live at the beach and now that I finally do, I never go. All I do is work work work and all I want to do is play play play. I got a side job which is actually really exciting. They called me for it! I work only two days a week with a boy who runs cross country. All I do is go to practice with him and run with him. Great huh!? I love it, it is like working out and getting paid for it. John and I are trying to spend as much time as we can before he starts fishing in October (i.e. I will never see him). Last night we went on a double date and went and watched a movie that the city puts on right next to the beach. As we watched Shrek, we heard the ocean..it was great. Today we went to Solvang and that was really fun. It is a small little Danish town that is about an hour from here. (Nicole's hometown) Last weekend my best friend Shandra came up to visit us, here are some of the pictures.

Life

It has been a while since I have posted anything. Let me fill you in on our lives the past month or so. We have moved home to California and are living at John's parents house here in Carpinteria (right next to Santa Barbara). It is a big change from living on your own to living with parents. lol. We live right next to the beach so I guess that makes up for it. I was very fortunate to get a job with the school district here and work as a special ed. aide at the middle and elementary school. I literally feel like I am in middle school again. People are always confusing me as one of the students...I'm like NO I work here! lol..I did not think I looked that young, but apparently I do. I work from 8:30-3 so I stay very busy and come home very tired. John has been in Texas for the past two weeks getting his EMT. He is driving home right now, which is a 24 hour drive. I am very excited to see him and am very proud of my little EMT. John starts working as soon as he gets back so he will be gone everyday :( I wish I got to see my husband more. In three days John and I will have been married for 5 months!! I can not believe we have been married that long..I am very happy and love my husband very very very much.

Break time..finally!

School is finally out and I could not be any happier! It was a very hard semester for me and it is only going to get harder. I think I will come out with straight A's which will make all of my hard work pay off. Everyone has left Rexburg and now it is like a ghost town. I ran some errands today and I thought places were closed because there were no cars in sight, but they were in fact open. It is actually nice have everyone gone, our internet works unbelievably fast now, its great!!We went to dinner with our friends for the last time. In our group of friends people are graduating or moving home, so it was pretty sad to say goodbye to everyone. I will be the last person of our friends to graduate, but seeing how I am the youngest its no big deal to me. We do not have cable and so we watch tv on netflix. John and I have been addicted to this show called Harpor's Island, it is amazing! We watched the whole series this week and are sad that it is over, I recommend watching it. We are now addicted to this show called Weeds. John is still busy with his classes so I am bored. I got into doing crafts and my favorite store is Porters. I made some cute decorations for our house and I posted pictures below. John is mountain biking right now and I am bored out of my mind waiting for him to come home. Maybe being out of school until Janurary is not such a good idea because I will go crazy with boredom.

Catch up time

So I was hanging out with my bestie Leslie and she was showing me how to use this whole blog thing, so now I am on here when I should be studying for my finals. Let me feel you in on our whole life since we have been married. It has been a little over three months and we are loving life. I have been extremely busy with school and have only 4 days left!! I have 3 finals and 1 oral exam left, so wish me luck. John is busy as well trying to finish up his EMT course online. He goes out to Texas at the end of August to do all of the training, so I will be lonesome for a few weeks. Married life is amazing! We are loving every second of it, still trying to get used to living with a boy, but he is amazing and takes very good care of me. When I have time I will post some wedding pictures so that everyone can see. John and I are moving home to California in a few weeks and John will be fishing for 6 months and I will hopefully be working as a special education aide, but who knows with the whole economy. I promised Leslie I would keep this updated and since school is almost over I will have plenty of time. Off to go and study for finals..blah!
